Guest Blog Post: Subfloor Ventilation Installation in Sydney

Today's blog post is written by Deborah, a customer who had a three fan subfloor ventilation system installed by Fresh Ventilation in January 2024.

One year on from Fresh Ventilation’s installation of our subfloor ventilation system we are happy to report that the work they did has been nothing short of life-transforming for us.

Within just a week or so, we noticed a remarkable improvement in the air quality inside our 100-year old house.

We wondered if it would continue, if the system would cope with all the moist air under the house created by long periods of non-stop rain and the large amounts of run-off from higher ground at the back of our property.

I am pleased to report that the air quality inside the house has continued to improve. In all that time we have detected no stale, musty or mouldy smells - despite the regular wet conditions we have experienced over the past 12 months.

We have lived in this house for 23 years, and with the large volume of dank air now being constantly expelled out through the vents, our house is the freshest it’s ever been.

Communication via email or phone was always clear, informative, efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble to organise.

Claire and Cameron even offered to provide a brief on-site assessment for us on Christmas Eve and were able to give us a quote before the end of the year, so we’d be ready to proceed with the job in January.

Cameron, Claire, Nell and the whole team (including Andrew and Lincoln their electricians) are lovely people to deal with, and clearly have a passion for what they do as well as a high level of knowledge and expertise in solving more complex installation issues.

Right from the start their top priority was to get it right for us, not just to give a one-size-fits-all quote and installation to make a quick buck (like some others who quoted for us!).

The day they came to do the job, Cameron began working under the house and determined that drilling two extra core holes for the ducting to pass through would give a much better result. It was a long, difficult job drilling through solid rock with an extremely heavy hand-held core drill, and the air under the house was really awful at the time. But he did it anyway - and still kept to the quote he originally gave us.

I can honestly say that Fresh Ventilation are the best company I have ever dealt with for any kind of trade/building work.

They were an absolute pleasure to deal with, provided a very reasonable quote for the work they did and went above and beyond to achieve an outstanding result. Can’t ask for more than that!
