100mm Inline Fans
We recommend 100mm inline fans only where larger ducting won’t fit, as a 100mm duct creates 16 times more static pressure than a 150mm duct at 500 m³/h. The exception is the LUNOS Silvento, a humidity-controlled fan suited to bathrooms in high-performance homes, which generate far less steam.
125mm Inline Fans
We recommend 125mm inline fans only where larger ducting won’t fit, as a 125mm duct creates 3 times more static pressure than a 150mm duct at 500 m³/h.
150mm Inline Fans
150mm inline fans are the most popular size and are well suited to subfloor ventilation, bathroom extraction, small heat transfer systems, and range hoods. They are compact enough for most installations while remaining quiet and powerful.
200mm Inline Fans
200mm inline fans are typically up to twice as powerful as 150mm fans, but are also significantly noisier. They are generally unsuitable for subfloor ventilation, where noise easily radiates through thin floors, but work well for heat transfer systems when installed above ceiling insulation, with insulated ducting on either side further reducing noise.
250mm Inline Fans
250mm inline fans are generally larger than required for most residential applications. EC motor versions work well for heat transfer systems in large homes, while AC motor versions are well suited to dust extraction in sheds and home workshops.
300mm Inline Fans
300mm inline fans are the largest size available, moving significantly more air while also using more power and producing higher noise levels. They are intended for commercial applications rather than residential use.
