The Comfort+ VOC and humidity board 5/VOC is one of the three control boards that can be used to control the fans in the LUNOS Silvento EC series.
This selection of different volume flows for basic ventilation and demand ventilation is possible: 0 / 15 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 60 / 100
The specified volume flow rates refer to the installed condition with accessories (ducting, weather protection, roof cowls, grilles).
The actual volume flow rates can be set manually or by software to the setting values of the board. In this way, deviations of the actual volume flow rates from the target volume flow rates can be reliably compensated by individual conditions.
Automatic VOC and Odour Detection
The Comfort+ control board has a VOC sensor that can detect odours.
The fan continuously records the background VOC (volatile organic compound) concentration and calculates a moving average to establish a reference level, representing normal air quality under typical conditions. This reference reflects the baseline level achievable through active ventilation and prevents unnecessary continuous operation when low levels of VOCs are consistently present. If the VOC concentration increases temporarily by at least 20% above this reference level, the fan will activate demand-controlled ventilation when enabled via the DIP switch.
Automatic Humidity Control
The fan continuously records absolute humidity and calculates a moving average as a background reference, representing the lowest humidity level achievable through active ventilation. This prevents unnecessary continuous operation, such as during periods of high outdoor humidity in summer. If indoor humidity rises temporarily by at least 5% above this reference (for example, during showering), the fan will activate humidity-controlled operation when enabled via the DIP switch.
Automatic CO₂ Control
When operating in CO₂ control mode, the fan responds directly to the current measured CO₂ concentration rather than calculating a background reference level. Elevated CO₂ levels indicate increased occupancy and higher ventilation demand. As CO₂ concentration rises, the fan activates and adjusts output accordingly to restore indoor air quality.
