Some manufacturers (such as Vortice) don't supply their EC motor fans with a 0-10V speed control device (potentiometer). Without a potentiometer, the fans can only run at one fixed speed.

This add-on includes supply of a 0-10V speed control device for an EC motor fan that didn't include one from the manufacturer, and installation of the speed control device on the fan.

Some manufacturers (such as ebm-papst) supply their EC motor fans with a 0-10V speed control device (potentiometer) already installed on the fan. You may want to install the potentiometer at a remote location (such as on your wall) so that the fan speed can be adjusted from a convenient location.

This add-on includes removal of a 0-10V speed control device from an EC motor fan, re-soldering of the wires to extend them so that they can be easily joined during installation, installation of the speed control device on a blank wall plate, and replacement of the black/green knob with a more aesthetically pleasing white one.
